A family run beach hotel is situated on the north-western coast of Zanzibar island, on the beautiful turquoise coastline of Nungwi. A warm welcome awaits you. Ideally situated for swimming, snorkeling and diving activities. Mnemba Atoll, just a short boat trip away, is one of the best diving spots in the world. The hotel lies within a private tropical garden, which fronts the famous north-west coast beaches.
There are also 5 diving centres and 2 deep sea fishing companies just 5 minutes walk away.
The hotel offers comfortable accommodation in a tranquil setting. Standard rooms have either twin beds or double beds. Desert Rose is the honeymoon suite. The family suites, Rosemary and Thyme are 2 bedroom family suite with interconnecting doors. Jasmin is a 2 bedroom family suite with a central sitting room. Guava and Lime - adjacent rooms, each with its own entrance and its own shady veranda but there is a lockable connecting door to turn these rooms into a family suite.
Flame Tree Cottages believes in a responsibility to the community and as such, the majority of their staff are from the local village of Nungwi. Much of the furniture you will find at Flame Tree Cottages has been made by a local carpenter.
Local labour was used for the construction of Flame Tree Cottages.
